The summer of 2003 was really kick ass. First, I spent six weeks in London interning at radio broadcaster the Voice of America, which was a great learning experience on its own. During that time, I joined my classmates on two school-sponsored weekend trips -- one in Belfast, the other in Brussels. Then at the end of June, my boyfriend met me in London, and we embarked on a monthlong, 13-city tour of Europe, our trusty Eurail passes in hand.
